Welcome to Gabby's Kitchen:

Trying Protein Banana Oat Muffins

Gabby and Hannah here, welcoming you to the third installment of our healthy baking series! If you’re new, this is where we dive into viral healthy recipes from social media and test them out to see if they’re worth the hype. Spoiler alert: today’s recipe totally is.

We took on the Banana Protein Oat Chocolate Chip Muffins, and let us just say—summer snacking has officially been upgraded. These muffins are a perfect blend of wholesome ingredients, protein-packed goodness, and just the right amount of indulgence with those chocolate chips (measured with love, of course).

We had so much fun making these together, and even more fun taste-testing the final product. The muffins were soft, flavorful, and satisfying—great for a post-workout snack or a quick grab-and-go breakfast for the whole family.

INGREDIENTS:

3 ripe bananas

2 large eggs

3/4 cup Greek yogurt

1/4 cup maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups oats

1 scoop protein powder (any flavor works—we used vanilla)

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

Dash of cinnamon

Pinch of salt

Chocolate chips (as much as your heart desires)

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.

Add in the eggs, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla, mixing well.

Stir in the oats, protein powder, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt until fully combined.

Gently fold in the chocolate chips.

Scoop the batter evenly into a lined or greased muffin tin.

Bake for 14-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.

Let them cool slightly before devouring.

Pro Tip: These muffins freeze beautifully! Make a double batch and keep some on hand for future cravings.

Watch Gabby and Hannah make, taste, and react.

We both LOVED these muffins!

1. They are delicious.

2. They’re loaded with protein and fiber to keep you fueled.

3. They use natural sweeteners like bananas and maple syrup, making them a healthier option.

4. They’re easy to whip up—perfect for busy summer days!
