Supporting Women
Over time, more women showed up and more class times were offered. In the summer of 2021, it was apparent that a community had been built and space was needed to continue on during the colder months.
In September 2021, the Goodbrand Fitness studio opened its doors. Since then, a variety of classes have been added, connections have been made, and lives have been forever changed. We look forward to welcoming you to our fabulous fitness community for women.
I’m a mom of two kids, a former school psychologist, and the owner of Goodbrand Fitness.
About a decade ago I had reached my most unhealthy point. I was not pleased with the weight I had rapidly gained, I was going through a period of significant anxiety and depression and decided I needed to take care of myself. Group fitness not only helped with weight loss, but I was stronger than I had ever been, physically and mentally.
In 2013 when I moved from Colorado to White Rock, I found that fitness was the best way for me to connect with others in the community. When I became a mom in 2015, group classes allowed me to take care of myself and meet other moms. It has always been a source of connection for me.
When the pandemic hit, I found myself feeling lonely and isolated again. That’s exactly how Goodbrand Fitness started. I began meeting up with a few friends to work out together in the park. I’d lead the bootcamp, we’d encourage one another, and keep each other accountable.
As it turns out, there were so many other women in White Rock & South Surrey also searching for a new fitness routine. We now have a dedicated community and are always welcoming new members. What started as a hobby, turned into a side-gig, and has bloomed into a full time business with our own studio space.
It’s an honor to share all of the group fitness benefits that I have experienced and to be able to support other women on their own fitness journeys through classes and personal training.

I am and ISSA certified personal trainer. I love strength training and total body conditioning style classes. I believe a life with healthy habits and daily movement is key for not just physical health, but emotional and mental health. I have been working out for many years and have experienced the numerous benefits it brings to my life. I have spent most of my adult life in the Security/Surveillance industries. I have run a successful independent business.
In 2017 I had a hysterectomy. I was not prepared for the mental, physical and emotional changes that came with it. I believed that this is how my life was meant to be. Deep down I was using this as an excuse because I was afraid that any changes would be too challenging. Being the mother of a very active teenager, I knew that I had to make the necessary changes in order to be a happy and healthy mom. I became so passionate about the changes I experienced that I wanted to help others do the same.
When I am not driving my teenager to practices and competitions, I love to cook, nap, watch true crime shows and try new foods and restaurants.
A healthy lifestyle is a journey, not a destination. Trust the process and believe in yourself!
Hi! I’m Janey and I am a Certified Trainer, Health & Fitness Coach, and mother of 2 teens. I've been in the industry for 9 years. I am very passionate about helping others find happiness in life. When you feel good about yourself, you excel in life.
For me, a healthy lifestyle is much more than just lifting weights. It’s about stretching, warming up, eating healthy, timing necessary rest, having enough sleep and nourishing relationships with people you love and keep close. I love helping others experience what their bodies and minds are capable of with a bit of hard work. Whether you are pushing your limits or just wanting to keep fit, there will always be something suitable for your goals. I mean "What's life without challenges?"
I specialize in strength & mobility training, PNF stretching, and everything that involves moving and feeling good in life. I’m so excited to meet you all!

My name is Marifer, and I'm a dance and fitness instructor. I was born in Mexico with rhythm in my blood, and I learned to dance from a young age. I started teaching my own Zumba and dance classes at 18 years old and continued through university, where I received a degree in teaching.
Upon my arrival in Canada 10 years ago, I found that my two passions - Dance and teaching - intersected perfectly as a career. Being inspired by the Canadian fitness industry and guided by a great community, I discovered a passion for group fitness classes and now hold 15+ certifications. Today, I teach it all from Bellydance to Booty Band, Aquafit to HIIT, and all in between.
I want to help you motivate yourself to start and keep moving. The best way to care for your health is finding an activity you enjoy, and I offer you my lifetime of fitness experience for a fun and energizing class.
Come to my classes for a guaranteed fun, full body workout that will leave you sweaty and smiling. See you there!
I am a 400hr YTT and a mom to 4 sassy beauties.
My passion for movement started when I was a young girl, I began my journey at the age of 5 in ballet and instantly became enamoured with Dance. I attended regular classes and many competitions until my early teens.
At 14 I was introduced to kickboxing, and I quickly shifted all my focus to earning my Black Belt and worked hard until I met my goal.
Then In my later teens I began to struggle with my self image and found myself spiralling out of control. I struggled for years with an eating disorder and alcoholism, where I let my passion and my progress fade away.
Finally one day I had hit my bottom and I reached out for help and started my Healing and Wellness journey. I started attending group fitness classes at the community centre and that is where I found Yoga. It was the perfect mix of movement and mindfulness to help me navigate through my healing journey and life!
For me yoga is more than just a great workout, it’s the way I walk through this crazy life on and off the mat.

I’m Rebecca member and instructor at Goodbrand. Working out has always been an important part of my life particularly for my mental health. For me physical fitness has been a way for me to heal and empower myself through difficult times.
As a busy mom and a high school counsellor at an inner city school I found myself looking for a space that was just for me, where I could have fun and focus on my own needs and not be pulled in a hundred different directions if only for an hour a day. From my first free trial at Goodbrand I knew I was hooked, I had found my tribe, the ladies were so kind and welcoming.
One sunny Sunday during a Rock'N'Roll class, I mentioned how I’d always wanted to be a fitness instructor, and the instructor asked me the big question “what’s stopping you?”
Under the mentorship of Gabby, and the fabulous instructors I got certified and, at age 40, I achieved a 20 year goal of becoming a group fitness instructor. I proved to myself that I am never too old and it is never too late to challenge myself and try something new.
As life has taken twists and turns teaching and participating in group fitness has remained my passion and often my sanity. Is there a better way to start your day than putting on some great tunes, hanging out with your friends, and showing your body all the amazing things it can do?

I'm a BCRPA certified personal trainer, level 1&2 CrossFit coach, and have also done strength training through Burgener strength. I have been a personal trainer and CrossFit coach since 2018. I love coaching strength classes and helping others find their true potential. There is nothing more empowering than lifting weight and feeling strong.
I have struggled with weight loss all my life and use that experience to inspire others. From being made fun of in elementary school and high school, to doctors telling me I'm overweight and overlooking other medical issues, and constantly feeling like I don't look good enough to be a respected trainer. I take these obstacles and use them to light my fire to persevere and fuel my passion that fitness is for everyone no matter how you look.
When I'm not at the gym throwing around barbells or sweating my butt off I love relaxing at home with my husband and fur baby Shadow.

I am a Toronto born and raised mother of two beautiful and lively teenage girls. Prior to beginning my career in fitness, I was a Human Resources professional for over 20 years. I’ve always had a passion for fitness and five years ago, just before moving to B.C. I decided to complete my Personal Training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) to motivate others to get active. Shortly after getting certified, I went full force into fitness, completed my Group Fitness Instructor certificate and now teach a variety of formats including indoor cycling, HIIT, Aquafit, Kickboxing, Strength and Cardio and Seniors Fitness classes.
I enjoy teaching all types of formats and to people of all fitness levels. I believe that there are modifications for anyone to attend any type of class and achieve their fitness goals. Fitness is for everyone!

Martina has been teaching a variety of fitness classes for almost 20 years. When she’s not in the gym, on her mat, she’s reading, hiking or spending time with her family.
Her goal is to help clients create a practice that’s simple and fulfilling, whether that’s through a combination of yoga, strength training, cardio, or whatever’s calling to you on any given day.
Her favourite workout motto is “showing up is the hardest. Well, that and burpees."

I found Goodbrand Fitness through a google search and I was interested in the variety of classes they have. I was nervous about working out because it’s been awhile but they put me at ease right away. No pressure, workouts can be modified to suit you and you go at your own pace. They’re all (Gabby, the staff and the other members) very welcoming and make you feel good about your progress.

Gabby has been amazing to work with. I have made SO much progress both physically and mentally since working with her and her team. She is the only person I've come across during my journey of "bettering" myself that has hammered home the importance of balance - and I really think that has been the key to my success. Gabby has helped me shift my mindset to a point where I truly look forward to working out/being physically active and I know that I can still enjoy all my favorite treats without that pang of guilt I used to get. I honestly can't recommend Goodbrand Fitness enough.

I started working out with Gabby at Goodbrand fitness 2 years ago, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the community she has built, the variety of classes that are offered, and her personal commitment to really creating a connection and supporting each one of her members. It’s Just the best Ladies gym out there, and wether I can make it to class in person or I’m working out on-line from home I always feel the support and encouragement from every instructor! 10/10 recommend you try a class!
